By Corinne Hoffman (translated by Peter Miller), the White Masai is about a Swiss woman who meets and decides to marry a Samburu man while on a trip to Kenya. Now a major motion picture, the book has been given 3 1/2 stars on goodreads.
Klub members should have read the book by 30 December 2012 and discussion starts soon after.

Kulture Klub - bad spelling for emphasis only
What do you do in this day and age when you want to have in-depth and, hopefully, erudite discussions about books and other popular culture with people who are far far away? You start a virtual book club. That's what a group of us did in about September this year but we soon found ourselves floundering a bit. How could we make this whole virtual thing work, particularly with everybody's time constraints?
Voila! This blog was born.
The premise is pretty simple. We'll put up the list of books we're planning on reading and by when. Those who finish will start the discussion but, in the beauty of the blog, discussions will remain open for others to join in later if they wish. Books that were read before the blog was started will be added momentarily.
Anyone who wants to join in the discussion is welcome to and all book suggestions can be posted in the open "Book Suggestion" post.
See you in the interwebs and happy reading.
